Calling all ladies interested in meeting others, taking part in a variety of activities and listening to fascinating speakers!
We generally meet at the Village Hall on the second Thursday of every month (see programme for alternative dates and venues) and offer opportunities for other events in the interim. Come and try us out at no charge.

All meetings the second Thursday of the month, 7pm, at Burniston and Cloughton Village Hall unless otherwise stated. .
Jan 11th – An introduction to Tai Chi. Competition – A winter health tip
Feb 8th (12.30pm) – Lunch at The Oak Wheel, Burniston
Wednesday March 20th – Who am I? Portraits from the Scarborough Collection. A presentation by Andrew Clay, CEO of Scarborough Museums Trust
Competition – an interesting family photo (NOT to include any WI member!)
April 11th – Crafting activity – felting. Competition – a handmade fabric or woollen item
May 9th – A presentation on India by member Alison Meads. Competition – an item with an Indian or Asian connection
June 13th – South Cliff Gardens Restoration. A presentation by Peter and Brendon Southwaite of PBS Construction Ltd. Competition – A gardening tip
July 11th – Evening walk at South Cliff Gardens
August 8th – Afternoon Garden Party (date and venue to be confirmed)
Competition – an item for the bring and buy stall.
Sept 14th – AGM Competition – a donation for the Rainbow Centre
Thursday September 26th – Talk by dress historian and costume maker, Meridith Towne – to be held in conjunction with other local Wis at Norton College, Langton Road, Norton, Malton YO17 9PT.
Nov 10th – Possible talk by local nutritionist but to be confirmed.
